Located in the picturesque town of Hokitika, the Heritage Highway Motel offers 14 quality ground-floor accommodation structures in the form of self-contained studios, one bedroom and two bedroom units. The locale is the closest motel to the town center and is just a 100m walk to the many local cafes and arts & crafts outlets, and just a 200m walk to the beach and river mouth where you can watch the spectacular sunrise and sunset, and perhaps catch some salmons whilst you are fishing.

For the sport lovers, Hokitika has many activities in store for you. The town has a superb 18 hole-links golf course with very reasonable green fees (club hire is available at the motel). Not only, but for those that long for a bike ride in Hokitika, the West Coast Wilderness Cycleway has recently opened just 20m from the motel door. Although we offer spa facilities in-house, the town pool is conveniently located across the road for our swimmers.
 
Travelling only a few minutes south will bring guests to the only Treetop Walkway in New Zealand, which is well worth a visit. Just 50 and 80 minutes further south, you will find the White Heron Sanctuary and Franz and Fox Glaciers. For our explorers, travelling north for 30 and 70 minutes respectively will bring you to Shantytown and The Punakaiki Pancake Rocks.
